Hillary Clinton, US secretary of State, will be on her India visit from 19th of July. She and her delegation will be in India for a second round of strategic talks in New Delhi. Her earlier India visit was in July 2009 when the first round of talks was held.
During her India visit Clinton will travel to the southern city of Chennai. This will be her first visit to Chennai.
According to a statement issued by the State Department, this will be a high level meet and The Secretary of State will be accompanied by a group of senior officials, from the US administration, on her India visit.
The statement further emphasizes on the strategic round of talks and how it has deepened US support for India on different levels on issues on counter terrorism, environment, innovations in science etc.
Clinton will be visiting Turkey and Greece before her India visit.
